In July, Mark Bittman spoke in Wellfleet for the Truro Center for the Arts. I gave him one of our pots and thanked him for bringing me back to bread baking by writing about Jim Lahey's no knead bread method.
Today he wrote about it in his blog!

Judy, you've inspired me to get back onto bread making--and to make a bread pot to cook it in. My pot is leather hard right now and I am wondering if the lid should have a steam hole? I know the steam is a positive feature for developing the crust--but can there be too much steam? Thanks for the inspiration and for your generosity in sharing! Gay Judson
ReplyDeleteGay,
ReplyDeleteSend a picture of your inspired bread and pot.
The gift is in the sharing. I do not put a steam hole in the pot.
